At these high elevations, wormwood grows in abundance, providing Alpeās herbal liqueur with its classic flavor and color. Serve as a digestivo or use as a cocktailing component.
Herbal liqueur produced by Distilleria Alpe in Hone, Italy, in the Valle DāAosta.Ā Featured botanicals include the wormwood speciesĀ Artemisia genipiĀ andĀ Artemisia mutellina, oregano, mint, and cinnamon. Base of neutral grain distillate distilled from wheat, sweetened using sugar beet sugar.Ā Earthy aromas of genepy, mint, clove, and lemon peel precede a rooty and herbaceous palate of marjoram, sandalwood, and you guessed itāmore genepy, closing with a warming finish of pine, cinnamon, and ripe berries 49% ABV.
