Chevreux-Bournazel La Parcelle Coteaux Champenois Blanc 2016
We have anxiously anticipated this wine from Stephanie & Julien since we began importing their wine two years ago. Their production hasnât grown since they acquired their second parcel, so itâs been a give-and-take to bring it to life. The give is 850 bottles of 2018 CĂŽteaux Champenois, while the take is from CuvĂ©e Connigis, which will now be even less available than it has been previously. After the most from CuvĂ©e Connigis is racked into a bottle for secondary fermentation, a portion is left in tonneaux for an extra ten months. The extra time in wood brings just enough finesse to balance the natural electrical charge of this CĂŽteaux Champenois while maintaining impeccable balance.
