The Story
The 2018Ā MacallanĀ Exceptional Casks were bottled mostly for the United States and parts of Asia. TheĀ range takes its name from a number of single caskĀ bottlingsĀ MacallanĀ released during theĀ 1990s,Ā which are often described as some of "the greatestĀ MacallanĀ of them all."
Distilled on the 21th April 2005 and bottled over 13 years later after maturing in single European oak sherry butt #6513 (Ref: 2017/ESH-6513/05).
Selected by MacallanĀ Whisky MakerĀ Sarah Burgess, this was the 5thĀ cask to be reserved for the 2018 series on 12th December of 2017.
One of only 483 bottles.
