Meikle Toir The Original 5 Year Old Peated Single Malt Scotch Whisky
Meikle Toir – meaning ‘big pursuit’ – is a range of peated whisky produced at Glenallachie distillery and guided by master distiller Billy Walker. This is the flagship release, matured in a combination of ex-bourbon and ex-rye casks, alongside virgin American oak. Aromas of creme brulee, burnt honey and peat smoke on the nose, followed by notes of orchard fruit, lemon zest and black pepper on the palate.
‘The Original’ is our classic single malt that truly champions our peated pursuit. Made with mainland peat from St. Fergus, the flavour contribution is sweeter than that anticipated of coastal peat.
